This extraordinary book is well organized, well designed and has an excellent index; so, it is easy to consult to answer a specific question. Also, it is written in an informative, jargon-free style that is accessible and easy to understand. This 21th edition has been completely updated and explains new developments in the language. It is so good that I am actually reading it from cover-to-cover.
