So this error happens everytime i try to load my save: It started when i was in 'Redding' and i walked from 'Great wanamingo mine' to 'Downtown', it started lagging like hell and then i save the game and restarted the steam and the game. Yes, All save files are bugged, even the saves where im in a different place dont work. Here is what i have already tried: -Deleted the game files from C: Program Files (x86) Steam steamapps common -Re-intalled the game to: D: SteamLibrary steamapps common -Installed the latest rp mod Note: I have used the same 'SAVEGAME' file when i re-installed the game. The game works fine when i start a new game but when i open the saves the game just keeps crahsing the same way. Dont know if theres savegame compability between other version of mods.
(when you used a other version and/or more mods before). Make sure its a clean install (delete gamefolder by Hand) and dont use more than F2 + RP mod. Normally would say Save in different slots (what you do). So this is weird that all Saves bugged. So normally its something about not Clean game (or you changed yourself something) Be sure to install F2 in English, cause RP mod is English too.

Other languages can make failures too. So which language u installed, did you used savegame editor or something like that? Any info can help. And after clean new install, better to start a new game. Dont think you have big chances to get your old Saves back.
My SO/waifu ran into this problem, despite making sure to stagger all ten save files, because every single one was corrupt (saving worked fine, but going back to load caused the exception/crash) so I decided to actually figure out a solution. In our case, I was able to download the Fallout 1/2 Save File Editor by 'vad' (F12se.exe from No Mutants Allowed) and, under the World Map subtab of the corrupted save, delete.sav references (one by one) until I identified that the NCR (NCRENT.sav) file was causing the problem. Deleting that one.sav (which by the way, represented almost no questing and only 5mins of a 10 hour run) seems to have completely fixed the problem and allowed loading/resaving/loading. This game is old at this point and it has.many bugs. I can't guarantee this fix will work in the general case (there are some experts who have tried very hard to fix them and may the Spaghetti Monster bless them) but it's worth a shot. For what it's worth, I also.did not. have to edit anything else (including inventory/global vars/combat info/location/car location) even though, as mentioned, this was a decently accomplished saved file with a lot of items/quests/followers in play.

It might be a good idea to re-title your OP, since the Mad Brahmin event is the location of issue, not the actual bug. I had that error recently. It was every time I tried planting eplosives on Bishop's safe, the game would crash to desktop.
Eventually I had to revert to a previous save, then kill him with Stimpaks instead. I had already picked, unarmed, and emptied safe in a previous visit. I know my thread regarding save corruptions seems like a different bug, but the location and behavior aside, there are a lot of details to help workaround the issues. Save corruptions, like my Sulik one, are not always immediately apparent.
They may be asymptomatic for a long period of time. So, always have an archived 'safety' for reversion.
Example: Before visiting a new area. If symptoms develop within a slot, revert to a safety point, delete any assumed corrupted slots (or overwrite), then replay from that point. Remember to NEVER save the game while explosive timers are active. There are many posts online regarding corruptions in this manner.
I'm so nervous, I never save while Super stimpaks are active either, not to mention any timers, events, or active NPCs. Beware of revisits! I've also had a helpful corruption (minor exploit), since K-9 joined party while illegally exceeding the party limits. There is also another thread where someone used a utility to fix a corrupted save. I'll list some references below. Refs: Fallout 2 Game save files bugged, Please help! Especially the post by 'TheNextToLastMetroid', for his save game editor/utility Fallout 2 Crash Note: The support page recommended these already, but neither of us had success with them.
Bug: K-9 joins, exceeds party limit. I just resolved my issue with Fallout2/RestorationProject using that method. Although I removed all (except NewReno as I was in that location while game saving) city.SAV files, and changed the date to next day. BUT: the best solution is to find one responsible file, or erase only those city-files that you dont intend to visit anymore (it influence npc behavior). But this solution definitely works! Many thanks mate!
Neverwinter Nights 2 Save Game Editor
I've loved these games since I played them at the time of their original release. After a few normal playthroughs, I started using character mods like Falche to create different playing styles and quite honestly, speed up the game pace. Since then, I've slowly replaced my PC's with Macs for business purposes (I'm a video editor) and used my consoles for gaming. I was excited to hear about the Mac ports on GOG, and bought both Fallout 1 and 2 during the Interplay Weekend. My problem is however, that I (logically) can't find any editors or trainers for OS X. I wanted to see if I could copy my save and mod it on my friend's PC. But I can't seem to find any save game files other than a save state file.
Any ideas on where I can find the save file? Hi JohnnySG, There really isn't that much support for the mac versions is there! Which is very unfortunate. However, I found out where the mac version of Fallout GOG keeps its save files. Unfortunately however, I have been unable to use a character editor on these files as when these files are replaced, fallout recognises them as corrupt files.:( Here is how to find the save games and save character files on Fallout 1 GOG on Mac OSX 10.8.x 1. By default, the /user/Library folder is hidden.
You will need to make it visible again. Launch Terminal, and type in chflags nohidden /Library/ This will permanently reveal the /User/Library folder. OSX hides this so you don't accidentally screw around and break something. Now, navigate to this folder. Macintosh HD/Users/your user account/Library/Application Support/Boxer/Gamebox States/com.gog.fallout Now, when you open this folder, you will see a file called Current.boxerstate. Right click on this file, and select 'Open Package Contents'. Here you will find everything you need.
(See attached image). IF you figure out how to edit your save files or character save files with a fallout character editor, please share here!!!! Cheers Michael.
I made it work. I downloaded the Falche editor for Fallout 1 from No Mutants Allowed (I can't post links thanks to GOG). Mind you, the download button is small and located under the file specifics. I copied the entire contents of the.boxerstate file to a USB stick formatted to FAT, and opened it from the stick on the PC by using Falche.
Be sure to open the 'FALLOUT' folder, and not specific save slots, or this won't work. After that I simply edited my stats and pressed 'Apply'. I then copied ONLY the altered save folder from the USb stick, in my case 'SLOT07', to the 'SAVEGAME' folder in the.boxerstate file on my Mac. Fired up Fallout and enjoyed my maxed out character. If you're having trouble formatting the disk to FAt on the Mac, use a windows PC.
It may take the Mac a little while longer to read the FAT format, but it will pop up eventually. I do have special NTFS recognition softwre on my Mac, So i'm not sure if OS X recognizes FAT natively.
Hey everyone, Good news!! After a lot of research and testing (and i mean a lot), I have found a way to edit save games on Mac ( GOG version). Google translate offline untuk laptop. Using GOG version Fallout 2 + Mac OS X 10.10.1 yosemite, put a in front of all the links (GOG is not letting me place links) and in front of the images in step 3 You will need 3 things: 1.
Fresh fallout 2 v 1.02 install (GOG version is 1.02 default) with Killap's Unofficial Fallout 2 Patch (Mac) 2. Wine + wine-bottler 3. Falche 2 (save game editor) Step One: Install Fallout 2 and the Patch Patch:.killap.net (get the mac version under downloads) or.atomicgamer.com/files/87272/fallout-2-killaps-unofficial-patch-1-02-27-1-mac guide: there should be a readme file.
For the Patch, you will need a RAR extractor software (I use The Unarchiver from the apple store). Extract the file then move the patch000.dat into applications/fallout 2 (right click - show package content). Then go to drivec/Program Files/GOG.com/Fallout2 and paste it there (overwrite the old copy). Launch Fallout 2 make a character and test if the patch was installed proper (observe the small rock behind the guard when you first load).
Make a Save File and Exit the game. Step Two: Download and install winebottler package (if you don't have it already) software:.winebottler.kronenberg.org ( Get the 1.7.33 development if you are running OS X 10.10.1) guide:.wikihow.com/Open-Exe-Files-on-Mac ( scroll down to method 3: follow step 1 - 3) Basically, download it, open the DMG file and copy Wine and WineBottler into Application folder Step Three: Download Falche 2 and convert into winebottler mac app. Software:.moddb.com/games/fallout-2/downloads/fallout-2-character-editor-v210 When you have downloaded falche 2, you should have FALCHE2.EXE You should right click this and open with Wine. You will see the following, and you should click Convert to simple OS X application and click Ok i61.tinypic.com/1214k76.png When you do this, it should open WineBottler (it takes a time, be patient) On the next window only select 'this is the program, copy it to the App Bundle' then click install i59.tinypic.com/2d2ew5g.png Once you clicked install, it will give you name change option and save file location. When you are ready click install (The first time it does this it will take some time). When it is done you can open it from WineBottler from On My Mac tab or open it from where you saved it.
If you have done it right you should get the this: i59.tinypic.com/i6bdba.png You now have to navigate to the save folder: which was hard to find. Click browse: My Computer/Z:/Applications/Fallout 2/drivec/program files/gog.com/Fallout 2 (just select the fallout 2 folder). Click OK and your save game should show up. Once you have made your changes, click apply and ok. Now navigate to that same location (above) and copy the entire SLOT1 and paste in the following location: USER (your account name):/ Library (it might be hidden, google how to unhide it)/ Application Support/ GOG.com/ Fallout 2/ Saves/ Viola you are done, Load up the game and check out your new character. If you are having any problems msg and maybe i can help troubleshoot, If its working.
=3 i love this game If you want to give me extra thanks, I am always looking for CS GO skins (msg me if you have a trade) Cheers. (IMPORTANT)PS: make sure you make backup of your save files prior to any changes (this means the save files in both locations: in applications & in library/application support.
