HP Omen 17 so noisy - how to control fan speed? My new HP omen 17 w010ng drives me crazy - it is so noisy. Even if the Geforce is switched off, the left fan starts to switch on very easily, running a Youtube video is enough. I have read about HP Control software allowing to control fan speed - it was very difficult to install and I only found out that the ventilator settings are already on normal. I switched the ventilators off in Bios, still not much change.
Fan Speed Software
Then i ensured in the graphic driver that Geforce is only used for Lightroom and Photoshop, this helped a bit, but still I see that ventilators speed up far earlier then required. I have tried HWinFO64, but no fan speed controls are possible. The freeware Speedfan is the same, I see the fan speed but cannot control it. I found the freeware Notebook FanControl, but there is no configuration file for Omen 17 available. Did anybody out there solve the problem? How can I control and reduce the fan speed?
