Elf Bowling - What Fun For Christmas While I'm an old gamer, I remember all of the previous versions of Elf Bowling that graced our computer screens. I loved them, from their snide little comments to them mooning you while you're trying to throw the ball - nothing could be better than bowling over some mean little elves at Christmas after a long day of shopping. So, when the latest version came out, I went ahead and bought it on my Big Fish Games membership (only $6.99 for me with the jumbo membership, $19.99 for non members). The premise of the game is still the same - you are Santa, trying to fight back an uprising of epic proportions from your elves, led by Dingle. You bowl your way through several levels, trying to dodge the tricks that the elves set up for you and not get those wonderful gutterballs. But, things have changed in this newer version and I'm not that sure that I like the new version better than the older ones.

The graphics are great, the storyline is great, and even the elves are great - but little changes to make it more 'family friendly' don't make it all it's cracked up to be. Storyline With Christmas swiftly approaching, Santa is finding himself smack in the middle of an elf uprising. Led by their ever popular, and mean, leader Dingle, the elves are striking all over the place and it's up to you, Santa, to keep them in line - or bowl them out. You will bowl your way through several levels, gaining a new, cooler ball each time. And, as you move up in levels (by bowling higher and higher scores), you will also unlock new bowling alleys - like Dingle's Yacht. The story line is basically the same as every other Elf Bowling version out there, but still a great one. So, I have to give it a 5 out of 5.

Download Elf Bowling 7 1/7: The Last Insult. Break out the elves and bowl one last time.

Graphics The graphics for Elf Bowling 7: The Final Insult are excellent. While the basics of the graphics are the same, such as the faces and basics of the elves and other characters, they are more clear and concise now. The lines are clearer and more defined, and the colors are brighter and more vibrant.

It's easy to see that this version blows the others away when it comes to graphics, as there has been so much done to this new version to make it just better overall. So, players won't be disappointed when they see the new, vamped up graphics in this version. With all of the clearer and brighter graphics, I have to give them a good 5 out of 5. What's Different? Ok, there are some changes in this version that both add to the game - and take away from it at the same time.

First, the good: you now can play in a multiplayer mode online, which in my opinion, is awesome because we all know that the computer cheats. You have several different modes that you can choose to play in now, including the multiplayer, so this will enhance the game as you aren't just playing solo or the computer any longer. For adding in new ways to play, I give it a 4 out of 5. Second, the bad: the elves are so much nicer than they were in the past. Personally, this is what I looked forward to.

They were mean, they were hateful - they mooned you! Now, they are calmed down a bit and you'll see no moons. Santa must have egg nogged them up before the game, which in my opinion takes away a bit from the grand tradition of elf bowling. But, it is more 'kid friendly' now, although not as funny as past versions.

Elf Bowling 7 The Last Insult

For making the elves nicer, I had to take away a point, which gives the changes a 3 out of 5.
