I have a Bissell Proheat 2XTurbo carpet cleaner. No water will come out when I squeeze the trigger. I have filled the solution tank and the water tank. I read the troubleshooting in the manual and have tried turning it off for a minute and restarting and nothing. I took out both tanks and reseated them and nothing. It has sat for over a year but did not have any water in the water tank.

My dyson dc14 wand works great then all of a sudden if something too big or even just the carpet it makes a sucking noise & the purple round bit in the actual Hoover makes a funny noise & then the suction isn't as great. If it turn it off then on again it comes back to normal! Sounds like a blockage.
I have a DC14 and I have never had this problem. You can easily remove the wand from the flexible hose and the flexible hose from the machine to check for a blockage. Don't allow paper or larger items to go into the machine, e.
I have a kirby sentria vaccum carpet shampoo system and I cannot get the shampoo suction head to work! It comes on but the belt is not turning. I have tried taking it off and looking at the assembly but no luck.
And I have tried turning the belt engage lever to off and on to see if it makes any diference. I had the same problem at first but figured it out. Make sure before you put it on the vacuum itself, that the shampooing unit is completely together. The belt needs to be taunt like it would be when the brush is turning. Once you put it on and turn.
My electrolux oxygen vacuum cleaner shut off and will not turn back on. They will help you even though you are not the original owner. Water is not being discharged. I have filled the reservoir that holds the carpet cleaner fluid And I have filled the water container. The wheel that is suppose to spin (to indicate that water is being discharged) is not spinning. Everything else works. The suction works, and the hand held accessories work. That means that the pump belt is worn and it needs to be replaced. You can get a replacement belt and view the manual here:Bissell Pump. My vacuum cleaner works, all but the 'foot'. It turns off automatically and the light comes on telling me to 'check brushroll'.
I've done this and removed all hair, strings, etc. It still turns off automatically, while the main vacuum and hose remain on.
What else can I do? Please post back with a brand and advise more info, however, I assume this is a canister vac with hose and `power head``. Often a power head brush roll will build up hair and thread which travels and winds up at the end of the brush wher. I had the vacuum cleaner question about the canister and the wand/powerhead.

The Kenmore Progressive Vacuum canister model 116.25812 and the canister not powering off without unplugging the vacuum. The solution I received that they both run on their own switch so it is normal makes sense. However, is there a power switch on the canister anywhere? The only way for the canister to be turned off is by unplugging it.

One would think there would be a switch. I am new to fixya and hope Hi. On some models, one switch controls all of the power. Your issue, which is no working switch is almost certainly a blown triac on the circuit boar.
